Having always been fascinated by the human mind and emotions, I majored in psychology at UMASS Amherst with a concentration in Biophysics and Neurophysiology. I loved the field but I felt that there would not be enough opportunities for career development and advancement in psychotherapy at the time. Taking this knowledge to the next level, I visited virtually all the chiropractic colleges in the country and decided that this would be the field for me. I chose the New York Chiropractic College since it offered the best balance between diagnosis and chiropractic technique. Three and one-half years later I graduated with honors and successfully passed my state boards in April 1981. What fascinates me the most is the variety of conditions that respond favorably to chiropractic, including headaches, sinus conditions, asthma, gastritis, as well as spinal pain, joint and muscle pain, and sports injuries.
